Great work as always, Chuck. And I look forward to your review of dinosaurs terrorizing an island next month.
Discussing Jaws
Re: Discussing Jaws
This is a movie I enjoy more and more every time I see it, and I was alive when it came out. The scene with the scars and Indianapolis speech is my favorite. It's a great character piece. Even the little things like Brodie standing apart from the other two and his looking at his appendix scar highlight how he's an outsider. It's not until they all start singing that he joins them at the table because drinking and singing is a much more universal experience.

So, we follow up a movie about a global-threat virus with a Trek episode about an injust and violent criminal justice system, and now it's time for a movie about dumbasses who go to beaches despite a threat to human life and the greedy politician who refuses to close said beaches because he wants the economy to do better.

My brain keeps misreading the title of this thread. I think 2020 is starting to get to me.

Another great character bit is Hooper being a loud and laughing drunk until hear hears about Quint being on the Indianapolis. Dreyfuss really sells Hooper instantly recognizing the significance and subtly sobering up in awe of Quint's story.cdrood wrote: ↑Sat Jun 20, 2020 9:04 pm This is a movie I enjoy more and more every time I see it, and I was alive when it came out.
