God that is fucking weak.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 12:53 amI presuppose that he's talking about the aunt Jemima bottles.
Also, the 10th? 20th? Instance of false equivalence.
Is that the only arrow in the quiver with these guys?
Just, "What about X!?"

No, movement like #cancelSTEM and #decolonize math and science prove you wrong. They see all of this as white, and there for, it must all be torn down.Rocketboy1313 wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 6:32 pm Guys, none of this is listed as negatives.
These are just the prevailing concepts associated with what you would classify as "white" culture in the United States.
Not unique to white people, not to spite other racial groups, but what is seen as a sort of "default" that many see as "normal" and may even look at as prescriptive, that if a person is not married by a certain age they are seen as abnormal, that a typical way of starting a conversation is "What do you do for a living".
You all need to stop being so sensitive to this kind of thing.

Are you taking about white people or jews? Kinda hard to tell. What you said applies to both.Rocketboy1313 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 4:14 pm In the United States white people are treated as the default. They hold most elected offices (Disproportionately so), they have most of the wealth (Disproportionately so) and are generally in more powerful social positions.
Want to show me the law where crack is punished worse than powder. Is it a different level of controlled substance? Could it be punished worse because it is more common and/or has a more negative effect on society?"The law doesn't say anything about the race of the person being punished for using crack instead of powder cocaine... so the law must not be racist... even tho, crack cocaine is used by black people more and is punished 20 or 100 times worse than powder cocaine use."

That is weak. I would have gone for the endless attempts to censor Mark Twain's books. A blatantly anti-racist book must be banned or altered because it contains the nword. Pathetic.Rocketboy1313 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 12:56 amGod that is fucking weak.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 12:53 amI presuppose that he's talking about the aunt Jemima bottles.

My point is this, it's hard to call something 'white culture' or whiteness without generalizing.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 1:48 pmAlright, I really wasn't able to follow. I recognize that I overexplained my point a bit; mainly that "whiteness" only refers to American dominant culture.McAvoy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 1:01 amI get it. I do.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sat Jul 18, 2020 6:21 pmWhiteness isn't really so much about a human being being white, as it specifically refers to the dominant American culture, or maybe ethnic characteristic as outlined by history. And that happens to be white. It's a bit detached as far as precise color coding, further than that already is (white people aren't the actual color white). It is a bit reverse discriminatory, I guess you could say.McAvoy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:39 am There is alot on there that is shared by other cultures and not just the 'white' culture. Also there are so many white cultures that alot of these don't apply or barely apply.
I remember reading an article awhile ago that showed that majority of atheists are white and the largest religious ethnic group are blacks.
It doesn't really help that I'm not really aware of any caucasian minorities (fitting western european) across the world. I'm sure it exists, and maybe there's some domestic issues over there. But mainly whiteness is just focusing on domestic geography.
Take for example, Christian versus Judaism. Being a Jew is not just religion but also culture and its not limited to America but all over the world. Not to mention the different sects too.
To a smaller degree there is a difference in culture from let's say French and Italian to the Polish.
Almost but not quite like saying Mexicans and Puerto Ricans are the same.
Really though I'm curious what you were referring to in the first place here.
I got nothing to say here.

Has it ever occurred to you that the n-word was the excuse for banning an anti-racism book?Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:17 am That is weak. That maybe it is an ur example of racists trying to use false equivalence to jerk around the system?

This is common knowledge, it is probably the quintessential example of how laws are disproportionate.Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Jul 21, 2020 1:14 am Want to show me the law where crack is punished worse than powder. I guess weed enforcement would be another.
The original that went to the Supreme Court was the San Francisco Laundromats.
