An actor, and you probably shouldn't. But if you care about racism, the reaction to his opinions becomes important.

I think I get that "it's supposed to be a big deal" because it's a big deal when it happens the other way around, but the other way around is a pretty unrelated circumstance weighed completely differently. The best people ever cite is superficial contradictions, and it's an absolute undercutting of the historical arguments laid out in the dictation of critical race theory.
Critical race theory is absolute hot garbage, and the historical arguments are the worst parts of it. Justifying current injustice with past injustice is horse sh*t. Legitimizing vengeance by calling it justice. Garbage.

"White privilege" isn't dehumanizing. It's just recognizing that there is certain bullshit in life white people don't have to go through, despite the many other forms of bullshit one must endure.

okay but is dismissing bigotry against white people as "not a big deal" the right way to go? if I come across a black supremacist, I'm not allowed to call them out because black people have it worse?

"Okay but"-
So do you admit White Privilege is real and not "dehumanizing" or not?

Well there's two things going on here. On one hand there's your interaction with someone talking about black supremacy, and on the other hand is the discussion about societal issues. I don't think the same moral weighing scale is used for both cases.

For instance if you look at society from a perspective of prevalent issues, black supremacy doesn't come up much. Now if you're comparing them in concept, then there's certainly a lot more you can talk about. Maybe their prevalence isn't that comparable, but yes you can have more room to deconstruct the validity of each. Remember though that that prevalence is actually a factor in how these issues are weighed imho.

that seems mostly reasonable but I think the difference here is while I'm all for changing societal issues, I tend to care more about people's problems in an individual level. for example, not every single person of color, with absolutely no exception, are going to have problems with the police.

and again, I have been the victim ableism and because of that, I see all bigotry as equally wrong, I care about what the protestors are fighting for but I wish they could do it without language like "all cops are bastards".

also, another factor is that I don't know that much about the specific cases of police brutality and such and know more about the radical parts of the left who want to murder police officers.

or perhaps I don't care about it more and what I meant to say is that a black person who has a good relation with cops is just as valid an expereince on an individual level then the bad relations with the police.
