You can make all the "haunted by Harriet Tubman's ghost" jokes you want, but that doesn't change the fact that these statements were made by a man who's clearly not mentally stable. And mental illness is no laughing matter. Trust me, I've had two short-term psychiatric hospitalizations and had struggled with trying to figure out what was "wrong" with my mind for two decades before I finally got an autism diagnosis a year and three quarters ago. And looking at the photos of Kanye West ranting about everything is like looking at myself at my most unstable. I have nothing but sympathy for the man. I hope he gets back on his meds soon. While I'm not a Kanye fan myself, I'd hate for the world to loose another another talented black man this year.
