Meh, Eli Manning was decent. Michael Strahan was a fucking god. I remember teams double teaming Strahan the entire year just to control him, and he’d still get sacks. One of the greatest talents I’ve ever seen.

Eli in his prime was pretty good. Got to remember he played in an old fashioned scheme where it was high risk and high reward. Problem is that the scheme required a strong O line and a running game. Run twice and throw with play action thrown in. When the team went to shit in 2013 they introduced the West Coast offense for Eli since the line was still garbage and the running backs were garbage. So they had to make him throw short quick passes. But they had Beckham who became famous for making a 6 yard slant into a 50 yard TD. Also for catching some of Eli's bad passes.

Strahan has perhaps the very best post football career I have ever seen. The guy seems like he is on every show.

Early Eli had terrible red zone offense, but late Eli fixed his nerves and was really good. I don't think he ever rose to the level of elite, no one is comparing him to Aaron Rodgers, but he was darn good. Sam Darnold would be happy to end up being an Eli, I think. Eli could clutch out some serious 4th quarter victories.

Strahan... he definitely isn't shy about talking to people, but he could always cash the checks his mouth was writing. Goddamn he was good. Truly transcendent talent, and he had the brains to just figure people out and get the jump on them. And he's always just fun. Even when he trash talked it was always with a smile, and it was never nasty. One of those good guys you didn't have a problem rooting for. Also one of the easier hall of fame votes (I think his single season sack record still stands).

Giants Defense was always fun to watch. Well until it wasn't

Early Eli played a run heavy offense so you always could guess what they were going to do especially within the five yard line. Run it with Jacobs, play action plays.

Eli was never elite, but he was clutch. He lost that I would say about four years ago. He used to be able to elevate the team.

Sam Darnold could be a Eli type of player. Solid 2nd tier QB, below the Elite tier at his best. Though he has shown he doesn't have Eli's durability. Which Daniel Jones apparently doesn't have either. I have said with Daniel Jones his upside could be a Romo type of career.

Strahan was always fun to watch. I honestly thought the Giants had their next gen Strahan with Tuck but he was constantly getting injured. True leader though.
