and I'd like it better if the cop killer got absolutely no support.
I'd really like it if killer cops got absolutely no support, yet every single time they get plenty of it. So here we are.
the police is a specific sub issue that this wouldn't help but for the over all issue, I read that Martin Luther King Jr. himself advocated social collorblindness, as in, ignoring the social construct of race completely.
Yes, as an ideal end state. The way we get there is not to stick our head in the sand and ignore racists right now. The ideal would be to develop a vaccine to COVID so it's not a danger, but you don't accelerate that process by pretending it doesn't exist in the meantime, do you?
I think that might be one of my problems. I personally, am already socially color blind and it concerns me when anyone, anywhere on the political spectrum, sees color.

Well there's a difference between not being acquainted with the facts and assuming that such distinctions carry with it no issues.

One's more a matter of ignorance at worst, while the other is more just arrogance at best.

I guess it isn't a good thing at this moment in time for me to be color blind but I can't help it.

That's a pretty considerate assessment imho, but I was really just getting at how that can mean two different things.

I think that by "I don't see race," most people mean that they treat people equally regardless of race.

Why do violence and calls for violence on the part of the anti-cop movement not color the movement as a whole, and violence and calls for violence on the part of the anti-anti-cop movement paint the whole thing with the same brush?

Why do some movements get "well, that's just an exception," and others don't?

Is barricading people in a police station and trying to set it on fire something that discredits the whole "abolish the police" movement?

The left doesn't have more standards just because it has double standards.

No, it is a good thing, and don't let all those who jump on the current trendy bandwaggon of empthasising differences and apparently being hell-bent on making sure we never get there overall from telling you otherwise. Just as long as you don't pretend that there isn't an issue at all in some places (but not every single walk of life in every single situation as some would have you believe). There are a lot naively trying to claim the moral high ground who are driving wedges through society, and sadly it's once again become the mainstream norm to look at people as "them and us" thanks to them.

People constantly trying to shove "this person is a different race to you" in your face when you would've otherwise paid it no more attention to the difference in the colour of your hair is a good way of making sure racism doesn't die out.

plus, all this talk of white privilege and All Cops are Bastards may turn away people who would have otherwise, be on your side, thus, making the problem worse, not better.
