That's a tricky one. Any political position will attract its share of loudmouths and nutcases. How much effort that position should spend on the distraction of dealing with them very much depends on whether they really are a fundamental part of it, a fairly large group of hangers-on, or just a small but loud number. It's a sad truth that they'll inevitably tarnish any worthwhile cause (or a less sad truth that they'll highlight a bad one) but there's a big balance of spending so much time dealing with them, disproprtionately to their actual influence, that you can't get anything else done versus seeming to tolerate or even support them.

Racists would stop being racist if we stopped calling them racist! Every time you complain about racism, two people who were otherwise willing to do the hard work of checking their own biases and dismantling institutional oppression decide to give up the fight or join the KKK! Actually it's people who try to address, fight, and deal with racism who are the REAL racists!

I've heard White people say that if they're going to be treated as racists all the time, they'll be racists. That's bullshit.

I have to ask again why I don't here people on this forum or on places like YouTube calling out the extremists on the left as well like the BLM members who wrote the graffiti advocating for the murder of cops.

Because it's probably the same issue that people have recognized commonly in ghettos around the US or world. You tend to have delinquent behavior in more impoverished areas, and it's more under the umbrella of disparate social conditions. It's not really a political matter, it's the nature of less well to do communities on a general level.

Also you have ongoing tensions between urban youths and police forces, especially when gangs are in the mix and infused in the culture. In the scope of social issues surrounding minorities, this is seen as another challenge their communities face.

Affiliation with Black Lives Matter is effectively anyone that believes there's a problem with such police departments. It's like saying that religion is bad because someone that you heard of that believes in God did something bad. It's a basic informal logic fallacy.
