The Batman

So it does seem to me that they're following to the tune of Marvel's Daredevil, but of course bringing along the mcflurry of bizarre artistic touches that Batman and Gotham have.

Just the fact that they announced a streaming show for Gotham PD has me pretty amped.

It is certainly a Batman. I am sure it will be a good Batman.

BUT,

I don't know how people can get excited about seeing Batman at this point.
He has been over used and is starting to feel played out.
DC has lots of characters, but Warner Bros doesn't seem interested in using those characters. Sure, I don't expect to ever see a Shining Knight or Bulleteer movie, but maybe Zatanna? How about Static? Or maybe Martian Manhunter?

I'm told this will "Explore Bruce Wayne's trauma".

Groundbreaking!

Must be hard. Seeing your parents gun downed like that. Can't be easy for a kid his age.

I'm not sure why they're making him look like Nightwing's design in Arkham City with the eye shadow.

His base of operations is really fascinating. He's competent by just his own design, which plays into his intellect. His rogues gallery is pretty interesting.

To be fair this one does seem to be going for more of detective feel for Batman, which has never really been done in live action.

Yeah but it's not G-rated like in the Justice League cartoon.

Looks alright, I think it's good that it's going to be more detective Batman (from what I've heard) and hopefully it will be proper detective work and not "run Bat-Tricorder and get answer" detective work, I hope they talk like normal people and not the Christopher Nolan everything is so important and needs to be a soliloquy dialog from the Dark Knight Trilogy, and for the love of God, please no "gargling marbles like" gravelly voice for Batman.

Though unless I hear really great things from this one I'm probably not going to watch it in theaters.

I still think the best Batman film is The Lego Batman Movie.

Lego Batman wouldn't go out of their way to tell a bedtime story to a kid looking out their window while he was scaling rooftops. Robert Pattinson Batman would.
