Good luck, and take care. I'd advise evacuating if possible, but I'm sure you've thought of that, and I don't know if there'd be time for that now.

I have a relation on my father's side in Florida. Hoping she's okay.

Where in Florida is she?

Somewhere in central Florida, I believe. I don't think she's right by the coast, if that helps.

There is a clip going around the internet of Rick and Morty screaming and shaking and crying after an adventure because they won it thru just luck.

Though nothing much happened and it was a scary anticipation filled week and night, ultimately things worked out and people went back to complaining about typical everyday shit having learned nothing about appreciating life or the fragility of our material lives.

At least in my area. I am so relieved, I cannot fully express my feelings.

It is like my feet are riddle with holes, like a colander, and all of my blood and energy has drained out thru those holes to pool around me drying to a blackish crust.

Not really. Not by the coast is actually most of Central Florida, including Orlando, Sanford, DeLand, Deltona, and a bunch of other smallish cities in the greater Orlando area. Plus Irma's eyewall distended during the event, so even though the center of circulation remained closer to Tampa, Orlando took a bigger hit, as did Lake County's various towns.

Regardless of where she is.... odds are she's got no electrical service right now... just like me.

It was also a much bigger hurricane than normal, wasn't it? I suppose the only difference with not being near the coast is that hopefully the storm surge wouldn't reach that far inland.

Yup. Unharmed, fortunately, but lost power.
