That is paranoid nonsense. How should they do that? Install cameras in every voting booth? Allow independent voluntary inspectors into the locale and you're done.

When will we start hearing about voter ID fraud as an excuse?
Voter fraud is hilariously inefficient, that’s why it basically never occurs. In even the tiny number of cases they do identify when Republicans read their own press releases so long they start thinking it’s a real issue, they’re inevitably like “you were registered to vote here and you should have been registered there” or “you were registered to vote but actually you shouldn’t be allowed because X”

Like in the largest case of voter fraud in decades, a whole dozen cops in Seattle were found to have registered the police precinct as their voting address - completely illegal. And you reach the astonishing truth - eh, it’s obviously illegal, but it’s a dozen clowns. Trump doesn’t give a shit, ABS doesn’t give a shit, in truth no one really gives a shit. Voter fraud just doesn’t happen in appreciable numbers.

So what, just give up and accept it for eternity? If there's a problem it's always worth giving it a bit of a kick, no matter how well established it is. For all that it's still on the news and I roll my eyes at some of the people involved if we just said "sit back and accept" we'd still have things like "a woman's place is in the kitchen" be regarded as perfectly normal and reasonable, the time to have stopped that would've been hundreds or more years ago.

It's also not really security that bothers me (in general, although there are certainly examples where it's a real concern), it's what I view as a basic dehumanising disrespect.

As for the crossing, some because they're pathetically impatient, others because they're capable of seeing there's no reason not to.

I don't think you realise how ''too late'' it is. To stop Big Brother now would literally mean giving up the 21st century. I cannot emphasise this enough: if it is connected to the internet then the government has the capability to access it. This is not a conspiracy theory, this is fact.

Capacity, yes, but they don't yet have the processing power to analyze all the data all the time. They cannot real time access every internet connected device and process the data coming in from it. That's a limitation that will be surpassed in the next ten years. That's when things get very interesting - things like real time playbacks of cities.

That's why we have to act now to head this shit off. Or let the country collapse and rebuild without it.

Of course it is. I am just thinking of random shit people would say. There are people out there that think there are tracking devices in vaccines.

Everything I have found so far for voter fraud has been small. Very small. That's actual fraud.

Nevermind conspiracy theories on the dead voting or illegals voting in droves etc...

Yup. For instance, I misremembered the number when I posted. It was six cops.
https://southseattleemerald.com/2020/07/20/some-spd-officers-appear-to-have-violated-election-law-by-registering-precincts-as-voting-addresses/

And I still can't find a bigger case of systemic voter fraud than those six cops in the past 30 years. It's a myth, made up to justify voter suppression by the Republican party.

As I'm very fond of saying, things that happen leave evidence they've occurred.

Agreed.

Look everything will have fraud in it, in some form of fashion. Nothing will be 100% safe from anything.

But the facts are voter fraud is so incredibly small that it's a non issue. Catch the people who commit it of course and always keep up with the tech to prevent it being used for even greater fraud of course.

It reminds me of that time in Florida where mandatory piss tests were implemented and it cost far much to do the tests then save money from people who were actually on drugs.
I got nothing to say here.
