I think he should but sadly it'll probably be in STRANGE NEW WORLDS not DISCO given Season 3 will take place a 1000 years in the future.

Yeah, that is completely different from the impression I've gotten. Everything about DISCOVERY and the Kurtzmen series have been showing high morale, that he's a good boss, and people genuinely having fun with both their creation as well as the work involved.

I suppose that the fact I like Kurtzman's Trek biases me though so I'll just stop talking about it.

That's honestly the same impression I get with Alex Kurtzman, and really everyone else working on Star Trek right now when they're on interviews, their all nice people who are all excited to work on something they enjoy.

Chuck's actual video

I think there's actually a big sign that DISCO is getting better by this video. The thing that has been lacking from Chuck's reviews of DISCOVERY is the humor. As he stated in a previous one, he doesn't CARE about Michael and his reviews tend to be bored, aggravated, and irritated. Comedy is actually a chore it
seems.

However, this episode has him creating the first Running Gag of DISCO with "everyone hates Ash Tyler" and also seemingly caring about how crappily Burnham's mother treats her.

If he can care about the characters enough to make parody then it's a sign things are looking up.

Indeed, while this is Chuck's show and can do as he wants, and as he says he is just a viewer with an opinion and you don't have to agree with him, I have found his Discovery reviews since the end of the Mirror Universe arc have been lacking in not just comedy but sometimes in analysis, and as you say he comes across as bored and irritated in these reviews.

But this isn't me saying he should change his opinion either, and in many cases I agree with him, I think it's a matter of not what he says but how he says it.

These last two reviews have been good, I'm really looking forward to the next episode review as that is a great episode.

I'm with Chuck on this, while the science of the Mycelium Network is insane, there's consistency with it that makes Mirror Lorca returning from it very plausible.

Correct he isn't. It was Robert Orcci out of the JJ writers that was the closest to being one, and his own movie idea got thrown out by Paramount for being "too Star Trekkie" which should tell everything you need to know.

I’m now at the point where I’m eating, breathing, dreaming Star Trek. And I love it! I love it for one reason. The work itself is very challenging, but it’s also some of the most satisfying work I’ve ever done, and I think that the reason why is because I’m recognizing and seeing in so many people that I meet how critically important it is to their lives. It's something I've said before but...I am so tired of Section 31. Give Starfleet Intelligence an actual showing when you need a damn spy. They're an actual part of Starfleet, not a terrorist cell.

It hindsight, it makes Sisko and the DS9 crew look like a bunch of dumbasses for never having heard of them. Seriously, after all the shit that they pull in STD, not even a rumour survives?
