Lex Luthor as reimagined by John Byrne included Donald Trump as an inspiration due to the fact he was such an iconic symbol of 1980s greed and excess. Notably, he also played a role in the formation of "Rich Biff" in Back to the Future part 2 and the Kingpin's later characterization.

While Joker I find to the most interest in terms of fidelity of a villain, Lex Luthor on his own is a real gem as far as motive and initiative.
