Who initially called his "Strange new world" series "Enterprise" before someone told him that was done before
Jonathan Archer is dead to him!

Honestly when I hear people complaining about how the new Star Trek series is too dark, it comes across as one of those parents that complain about how TV or Video Games are too violent and are hurting the sensibility's of their children, basically Marge Simpson.
Sounds a bit more Helen "Think of the children!" Lovejoy to me, but don't mind me. Guess it's my turn to nerd out about something.

I don't think Kurtzman is a Trekkie at all.
Correct he isn't. It was Robert Orcci out of the JJ writers that was the closest to being one, and his own movie idea got thrown out by Paramount for being "too Star Trekkie" which should tell everything you need to know.
Orci is an even bigger idiot than Kurtzman and a 9/11 truther to boot.
The only JJVerse writer who actually knows or cares about Trek is Simon Pegg, who wrote a movie about a savvy and competent Captain Kirk trying to prevent a war via clever plans, quick thinking, trying to talk the bad guy down, and only reluctantly assisting in his death at great personal risk when all else had failed.
So the Discovery writers have zero computer literacy, right? Not being able to delete the Sphere data being a problem makes no sense. The data is stored on physical drives. What's to stop them from just moving all the data to one drive, take the drive out and vaporize it? Why go through the pointless extra step of transferring it to the Red Angel suit and then sending the suit into the future? Heck, even if they have to transfer it to the Red Angel suit, why send it into the future instead of vaporizing it?

Because the Sphere Data is an intelligence itself an had self preservation, going as far as merging with the USS Discovery computer itself, they tried the deleting the data and it didn't work because it had build firewalls using ancient dead languages that couldn't be deciphered, I'd imagine if any attempted to remove the data into a physical drive that could be destroyed would have met with the same results.

Then why could they transfer it to the Red Angel suit? That's literally the same thing. Why did the Sphere Data let itself be transferred to the Red Angel suit when they could have vaporized the suit after the transfer was complete?

They didn't get the chance to transferred the data to the Red Angel suit, or any other device so we don't really know if it would have allowed a transfer, but with it's strong sense of self preservation it stands to reason that any attempted to destroy the data or forcefully remove it wouldn't have worked.

So I just remembered that while it wasn't complete, they did transfer some data not only to the suit but to the Section 31 ship, So if that had worked they could have vaporized the suit with the data, unless the suit had defenses that could have prevented that.

So thinking more on this, the only reason this didn't work is because of Control sabotaged to transfer to the suit.
