Hey, you're an idiot for believing in any gods, though you are particularly idiotic for creating a makeshift belief hodgepodge just in order to feel unique.

How do you feel?

Have you ever noticed they always do that? Don't have a valid argument so throw out a trite line about evolution.

That seems uncalled for.

The term believe is heavily loaded.

What Harvey is referring to is a social system that teaches innate humility and patience in how you view the world.

It's also heavily fallacious to posit that you must be participating in the same overarching ritual system that he does (I'm guessing any of the abrahamic gods, more or less, would be his own decree on this (at the time I mean)).

So, even taking that for the best of consideration imo. If I'm talking to someone of the sort, I'm not going to just hold that against them against them. I'm more of the mind that it matters on what you do, not how you feel, and that that kind of fields, at least, everything.

Mr. Harvey is still using outmoded ways of thinking. The sad reality is many religious followers of Christ over the millennia were hardly about humility, patience, and that good jazz. Too many attended church services, IMO at least, for the fringe benefits, scientific knowledge, some food and drink, and that's it. Social functions, sure, but it was hardly the bastion of light many like to preach.

And I'm someone who actually feels you can marry a higher spirituality to science and physics. I don't see the two as mutually exclusive. Religion, however, would be.
