There is nothing wrong with a private corporation running a prison if its run well. Especially as the end result is going to be billions of taxpayer money.

Was that aimed at me? Because I do not see what you are getting at. My only guess is that a private prison has a different meaning in the US than in the UK.

What I wrote was directed at your post, but the image about voting rights was completely unrelated. I really should've put them in separate posts to make that more clear, but I was very tired at the time, and so it didn't occur to me. Sorry for the confusion.
