again, this would be a normal reaction but there is a pre existing hatred of the man that taints it and hate is always wrong.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:15 am So I can't claim any moral high ground at all while grinning at a man suffering from a disease he did everything within his power to spread and promote, while he has the medical care and supports he would deny to others? You know, that's a really trite. Hate isn't wrong, it's what you do with it. If someone hates global inequality and responds to the hate by mailing pipe-bombs to billionaires, that's wrong. If someone hates Hillary Clinton and responds to the hate by supporting the GOP, that's not wrong (some may disagree, but I still insist on playing 2010 rules).Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 4:10 pmagain, this would be a normal reaction but there is a pre existing hatred of the man that taints it and hate is always wrong.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:15 am So I can't claim any moral high ground at all while grinning at a man suffering from a disease he did everything within his power to spread and promote, while he has the medical care and supports he would deny to others? If you hate something, and you don't have a good outlet, it isn't wrong, but it is self-destructive, which is a bad idea.

but it's always wrong when directed at a person. now, this kind of amusement would be okay if it came from contempt, I've done that but not actual hate.TGLS wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:00 pmYou know, that's a really trite. Your reasoning seems specious. Preexisting, here? Did Fuzzy hold such hate prior to 2016? Or are you talking about the general political alignment for Mr. 45's ilk, in which case, my friend, that's just an increasingly radicalized Online America. It's the new tribal age. Get used to it.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 4:10 pmagain, this would be a normal reaction but there is a pre existing hatred of the man that taints it and hate is always wrong.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 7:15 am So I can't claim any moral high ground at all while grinning at a man suffering from a disease he did everything within his power to spread and promote, while he has the medical care and supports he would deny to others? I would contend that. Hate is actually the path to very few good things. You're talking anger and outrage, righteous anger and outrage that fit the bill to your description. So context matters. Hatred moves you much closer to malice, revenge, and all that other horrible stuff. I've felt anger is a more subdued and manageable compared to hatred.TGLS wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:00 pmYou know, that's a really trite. Hate isn't wrong, it's what you do with it. Merely disliking Ms. Clinton and voting GOP does not correlate automatically as = hate. You guys probably sure seem hateful as H to the other side.

OK, so he's now left hospital and his doctors are claiming that he has no symptoms of Covid-19 and has a 97% oxygen saturation level.
I'm calling this. Unless there is some magical cure they've got at that hospital that they only give the 1%, he was faking. No chance in hell that an elderly, obese man has recovered this quickly.
This is some Kim Jong level propaganda. Y'know, how Kimmy claims to have scored eighteen holes in one on his first time playing golf? This is the same thing: Trump not only beat Covid, he's a superman with the immune system of a Greek god.

Or are his doctors lying and he does have it? Who knows. I agree with you. This is just flat-out bogus.clearspira wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:24 pm OK, so he's now left hospital and his doctors are claiming that he has no symptoms of Covid-19 and has a 97% oxygen saturation level.

Apologies. I was just riffing on your username, as my bias is to the older Superman Goku/Toonami dub of DBZ. I guess it could have been thought out better. I haven't seen it in a while. Should have clarified.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:43 pmwas that directed at me? because I was agreeing with you.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:40 pm"I guess name-calling is your only attack, because you too weak to challenge me any other way."Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:39 pmexactly.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue Oct 06, 2020 5:21 pm I would contend that.
