If it helps, I tend to believe more in leftist ideals, but I think they need time to fully percolate, and translate into the ever-shifting shape of The Future. It's how my sisters were able to, grudgingly, get me to vote Mr. Biden.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 7:12 pmSo would a lot of our forum posters.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 6:15 am White supremacists could set off a nuke and announce that they did it on behalf of their glorious president, and Trump would just tweet in all caps "THE REAL PROBLEM IS ANTIFA AND THE LEFT-WING TERRORISTS!"
Leftist ideals are great, they just don't always work well in the present with all its grit and hardships. They need time. Since I see a lot of moderate right-wingers who dream of the classical liberalism of old, a color-blind world, while the democrats, not necessarily leftists, want to focus exclusively on certain groups.
This is why, of all the candidates, I think Mr. Sanders would be the best to challenge Mr. 45. Don't get me wrong, he's a fraud, but he's one that appeals well to the large base of liberals whom will shape the future, and retake some of our older values we've lost.
