if you think of the GOP as all women-hating
When there's a deep schism in society as wide as the divide in ours, you get ingrained into all these little strawmans of the other side.
Sure, many you see, like those with high visibility in the public eye and elected officials, are without a doubt that way. The GOP slides to being very traditional. But as I'd contended much earlier when I first joined the site, to say that, about sixty million people? Naw. I don't buy it. No more than sixty million liberals are all screaming for the cops to be abolished, as their strawman of your side would be.
Traditional doesn't mean sexist. Depends on the context, all broken down into a thousand thousand thousand interweaving patterns.
The problem with conservatism is that it's a stubbornly rigid mindset. The idea of trying to maintain the status quo for the sake of protecting "traditions", like not allowing women to vote, not allowing gay marriage to be legalized, not wanting to treat minorities as equals, not allowing women to have abortions, etc. Fuck all that shit. This is why I can never trust any party that brands themselves conservatives.
If I were Biden, once the election is over I would disavow the entire Republican party, even the so called Never Trumpers, because in the end they're still the untrustworthy assholes we had to deal with during the Bush years. They're not our friends. They should never be trusted. The only reason they don't like Trump and are supporting Biden is because Trump is impolite and blustery, OH MY HE'S VIOLATING DECORUM! Look at that piece of shit Mitt Romney, who condemns Trump for his behavior but when it comes to his party he falls right in line and bows to Trump. Trump can insult Ted Cruz' family and he still falls in line like the sellout he is.
Unfortunately, I'm not Biden. He'll treat the GOP with more respect than progressives.

That was what I had asserted all along. Since trust me, the same talking points were used that the GOP employs. It should concern you Mr. 45 emphasized with Mr. Biden on this issue.
Lol I don't think so. Democrats are surely to praise the reform effort of the MeToo movement. I'm thinking that your social conception of MeToo as a social organization might be different than mine.
How would you describe MeToo as a functioning social organization of sorts?

The subject has been dropped.
Back to the original topic, IIRC, didn't Mr. Dubya delete way more emails than Ms. Clinton did? I've read figures from five million to 22 million, and yet to the GOP, Ms. Clinton is satan. That's comedy.

You do know that the nineteenth amendment allowing women to vote was passed under a Republican president right?
And that plenty of Democratic presidents did jack shit to repeal the Jim Crow laws and black segregation and in many ways actually made it worse AKA Woodrow Wilson right?
And that abortions and gay marriage are less Republican V Democrat and more fundamentalist Christians/people who think you are murdering babies V everyone else right?
That sound you are hearing is the elephant in the room. An elephant that's going ''um, Mr Python. Perhaps you should drop your blinkered tribalism towards the Democratic party as they have taken just as many great steaming dumps on the Land of the Free as the Republicans have.''

That elephant is a figment of your imagination.
Here's the sound of the donkey whispering to you "Um, Clearspira, perhaps you should re-read Python's post where he was specifically referring to conservatives."
History lesson, kids! The Republicans used to be left leaning, liberal notably under Lincoln and years after. Doing radical stuff like abolishing slavery and all that. The Democrats used to be right leaning, conservative, were pro slavery. In the 20th century major shifts had taken place within the parties. The last big one was when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Act, in his words "we have lost the South". As a result, droves of conservatives abandoned the Democratic party and found a home in the Republican party. Now the Republicans are right leaning, conservative, while the Democrats are left leaning, liberal.
I won't hold it against you Clearspira, you're British after all.

You do know that was literally a hundred years ago? And LBJ (also a Southerner and a Democrat) was the main driver in undoing that?

No, that was Wilson too. (Wilson is a goddamned cypher in modern terms.) I'll concede that most of the opposition was from S. Democrats; on the other hand over the past hundred years the Southern Democrats are all gone.

Yeah, well, the Democrats are two or three parties glued together (liberals, socialists, and radical equalists) and the Republicans are perhaps three (social conservatives, capitalists, and national security fanatics). If it were six parties, overturning Roe v. Wade and the gay marriage decision would be a vague dream.

No. It's you that inflated it into some senseless ramble then apologized and said "yeah we're beating this to death aren't we." Please.
