GOP in CA did voter fraud and will do it again

Does it help to put your mind at ease, at all, that I say voter disenfranchisement this way is wrong? Like, should not be past a doubt. As are many, many other things, of just those we see. If you spent your whole life obsessing over them, what kinda way is that to live?

I sure didn't wanna vote, but I still sucked it up with a shrug. And, regardless, there is no way in H California is ever going to red. No more than Texas going blue. Ignore the smokescreen, focus on what history says.

You do realize that there are elections that aren't statewide, where the large number of Democrats in San Francisco have a lesser impact? Look at the atlas of redistricting:

There's a good dozen districts in California the GOP can conceivably win. That's the concern with these drop boxes.

Yeah, I know. But as I said, in a blue state, do you really see them getting away with that for long? Especially since they'd already found it.

And it's sadly how politics works, you try and carve out more power, the other side tries to take it right back. And as much as I hate to admit it, sadly, trying to give more power to rural counties over the urban centers is entirely constitutional given the framework of the original document they made. The methods, less so, but it is how they'd set it up. It's why I'd generally prefer an all-out large-scale attempt to revise the constitution for the modern era, but given how traditionalist our country is, all groups with something to lose will never go for that. Plus we could never agree what to do anyway.

Also there's a shit ton on the ballot besides president/vp

So like people are just supposed to lose representatives for their district because Biden doesn't stoke your flame.

Every American should be given a mail-in ballot in the mail and every vote should be counted.

And let me ask you this. What does it matter? The country's never been a democracy, and yet through all our 200 years, we've never become a totalitarian police state like Germany or Russia had, have we? Even during some of the worst crises, like the civil war. Not saying it couldn't happen, mind, just that we're not there. And when the final votes are tallied, ignoring the presidential ticket, due to increasing hyperpartisanship, voting between the party lines is a thing of the past, so only a quarter of the country can feel they had a hand in choosing our leaders. That's not democracy, it's the rule of a few over most.

If that concerns you, I understand, as some statistics I had read from the primaries suggest they weren't record-breaking like the media says, certainly not the way it was for 2018, but merely the average fare. And this is why I once again brought up inspiring candidates, since they will generate larger turnout and serve as a public face to their party. The same holds true for BOTH parties. And it's why, I feel, liberals dropped the ball in 2020, out of fear.

And I repeat, California is blue central with a blue Governor in charge, and they caught this. It's not going to be tolerated.

Here in Britain when I go to vote all I need is my polling card I give my name and address at my local polling station I get given my ballot paper I then fold my ballot paper and put it in the ballot box.

Americans seem to enjoy making voting complicated.

We issued out ballots to everybody by mail. We're pretty much allowing voting all month in the form of walk-ins, drop boxes, or mail in. Each method has a lot of people uncomfortable with it, which is pretty much why all of them are available despite their non interdependent problems.
