The word ''adaption'' counts out anything that comes from a book, comic, cartoon or TV series.

This stumps me immediately. I'm not ruling out Chuck being creative with his language though as it must be something at least tangentially related to sci-fi or fantasy. This is an interesting challenge though, I am enjoying this.

It was suggested earlier and I am going to switch my vote to ''Signs''. Its shit, its not an adaption, and it is nebulously sci-fi or fantasy as it is arguably a religious film.

The science is comically bad.
The emphasis is on horror and theological navel gazing.

• Probably the worst of a franchise.
• 21st century Film.
• Some people would argue it is not sci fi or fantasy.
• But presumably not most people because speculative fiction is still the theme around here.

The thing is, I would have guessed "Jurassic Park 2"... But he already did that one.

Maybe "Dark Knight Rises"? As he has done "The Dark Knight".
But if he is going to do the worst Batman movie, "Batman and Robin" would have to be it.
