This is going to shock you to learn this, but Biden has been in office for decades and during that time has been under constant scrutiny. There isn't anything there.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Mon Oct 26, 2020 3:15 am I was more so referring to the MSM burying Mr. Biden's myriad scandals. I have no idea how they'd handle this if he won. Like it or not, the distrust in our institutions cannot be stopped and they have only intensified it. It's just going to accelerate more and more as time passes. I sincerely doubt that we can go back "to the way things were" in merely four years. It's just more of the same old, same old, just packaged more nicely. And if we could, it would require someone who is more inspiring and frankly younger than Mr. Biden. He is not going to be there to make it.
I feel like I have every right to say this since I was dragged kicking and voting into an electoral process I don't believe in. So let me complain about the septuagenarian I didn't want to vote for.
Prior to him being Vice President he was considered one of the most trustworthy people in the Senate. Having (unlike most others) not used hi position to enrich himself to ungodly levels, he was worth less than a million dollars and took the train to work. There aren't any scandals. Even by the standards of pre-Trump era politics, he doesn't have anything meaty to grab on to. By the standards of post Trump, Biden is kind of bulletproof, that is why they keep going after his son, and Clinton. And even then, Hunter has his issues, but he is still a pretty good guy, and the idea that he is somehow on the take for foreign governments... You have to actually show that. You have to show that he or Joe did something wrong, and they haven't.
This is just another instance of them gesturing vaguely at something like the Clinton Foundation and saying, "Clearly they are using their charity to take brides" and they believe that... because Trump and his family steal from their charities, their schools, and take bribes via their properties.
This is part of why Progressives like me look poorly on Biden. Ironically.
When Biden did all the things we disagree with. He did them because he legitimately thought he was doing what was best for the country. That is not great. Biden will surround himself with professionals that know what they are talking about, even I do not agree with them on everything (They will probably work from the position of "capitalism? But of course!"), but at the very least they will be able to explain themselves.
Biden is a human being, he can admit wrong doing, he can express empathy (he can feel empathy), he has a soul.
I cannot say the same for the golden calf statue that walks as a man that is current in the Oval Office.
