If that's true then where the f-k were they back in 2016? This really speaks to what I was saying a couple of pages back about apathy. Amazing what months of race related riots will do for finally getting you off your ass and vote. I sincerely wonder what the result would have been without Covid and a couple of asshole cops beating a guy to death.

IKR? The assertions are completely off-base. Minorities are not monolithic. And we've seen great shifts of minority turnout towards the GOP in this election. And I blame BLM and Antifa, plus MeToo. They all have great ideas, and it's a cause most people can agree with, don't get me wrong. But their general attitude and rather confrontational approach when pressed is what turns away those in the center. Take, for instance, their language on justice reform. Something everyone here can agree on. But their anti-police language is so full of hate, and dripping with fanaticism, you can hardly win over people that way who will fall prey when it really does seem like you're going to abolish police and just let criminals roam the streets. Plus collective guilt-shaming, ironic from people who scream all-inclusive. They have become so razor-obsessed on the minorities, they have forgot that you can't lump them all into one category.

What about Cuban Americans who broke for the GOP in the same state they voted for a $15 p/hour minimum-wage increase? How about black people who loathe BLM with all fiber of their being, so that they think it's OCBLM - "Only Certain Black Lives Matter?" And the rioting and arson didn't help the cause. Mr. Biden was right to call it out, and the SJW woke mobs verbally burned him in effigy over that. Or even people who have dated women and males, so same-sex coupling, who overwhelmingly despise SJWs and refuse to be labeled part of the LGBT community? Because I know one, he's a good friend of mine. And he hates SJWs for what they've done to the entertainment industry. Though I'm sure the leftist SJWs will insist I sound like that racist who says he was "one black best friend," and continue writing off the real warning bells from 2020 from people who want egalitarianism, not pure PC culture.

When you create a big, giant bubble of PC themes only for the minorities, women, and LGBT folks, you end up getting locked into an echo chamber that's made of social vaporware, nothing of substance. Looks good, but is not practical to reality. Look no further then their toxic language towards moderates, and that they consider them enablers to the right. It's no secret SJWs despise them with all their shallow little hearts. You're going to drive people into silence that way, which explains the silent Trump effect, and it's bound to only get worse when Mr. 45, now Mr. Trump, runs again in 2024 to try to become Mr. 47. Mr. Biden is the one more likely to keel over, since I have no idea how he does it, but Mr. 45 still has a lot of energy and stamina despite his age. He's just a horrible person.

We are forgetting one thing. Mr. Obama swept to victory with historic vote totals as a populist. He had a populist message that he was never able to implement and in fact cost his party the midterm elections. Mr. 45, meanwhile, may have helped contribute to the 2018 "blue wave," but it was also rather tepid compared to the 2010 red wave. Populism has been creeping in for 12 years now, and it never began with Mr. 45, so much as Mr. Obama, and people fed up that he never did anything past the status quo.

You are right, clearspira. Without COVID, Mr. 45 would have crushed Mr. Biden in possibly the biggest electoral blowout ever. And that should scare not only the centrists of the DNC, but also the SJW types.

You also CANNOT tell me many of these "protesters," left and right, are not being selfish. I've seen the pictures via social media, many of them who want to "stop counting" and "keep counting," not wearing masks. And yet it should be noted it is the left who defended the riots in the summer and insisted it was only protesting, any violence had to be coming from Russia subterfuge and white supremacists, and they were always wearing their masks, from people who in theory realized the pandemic was serious. This just highlights political fanaticism as stupidly impractical whether it's from the left or right, doesn't matter. The difference being the left holds to some kind of "special" moral high ground they think is reserved only for them and no one else, while the right believes a false smug moral high ground is good enough. Because none of those protesting to "stop counting" ever took the pandemic seriously after the MSM failed to do their jobs and created a liberal elite yellow journalism echo chamber, while those marching to "keep counting," which was always going to happen, were supposed to know better, apparently.

Hooray to a meaningless shallow victory. My family will worry less over four years, unless then Mr. Trump runs again, and I am not voting in 2024, and the DNC got exactly what they want. They beat Trump, at the cost to their soul, with unprecedented levels of wasted campaign spending, the favoritism in the media reaching a fever pitch so that no one takes them seriously anymore, all over a two-time loser who is going to be a lame-duck administration on day one. But you at least got Mr. 45 removed.

For now.

What is there to celebrate? Removing a dictator wannabe from office? Because that's really all that's been done. Past that, we're getting one of the feeblest candidates in a generation coasting in off hiding his presence that the criminal MSM was all too content to let him have, and who will be a lame duck from day one. I mean, come on! clearspira has been saying it as well.

You don't want this to happen all over again, hard steps need to be taken now. Because the cycle is just doomed to repeat in 2022 and 2024. It's an eighteen-month window starting from January, 2021.

Did you forget that this election had a huge amount of mail-in ballots? Jeez you're a grouch.

The buzzkillers can complain all they want, I'm celebrating this election victory with a champagne bottle in one hand and an eggplant emoji in the other.

Progressives did not win this, Trump's complete inability to be a decent human being is what won Dems this race. Progressives nearly lost it.
I'm a liberal center left Dem and the only reason I voted against Trump is because he's straight up an ass, not because I support progressives. Truth is, Biden is the architect of the laws that put many of my family and other poor folk behind bars for frankly petty reasons, and the bills he supported in his senate days have been devastating to so many people I know and lived around when I was growing up.
Harris literally built her career by putting innocent people behind bars and then doing everything possible to hide the evidence of their innocence to protect her reputation, both of them disgust me, but Trump scared me.
