Have you seen our government I doubt that they could keep ot secret, they can't keep the soon to be former president affairs secret.

Governments are often a disaster, but Civil Services are usually pretty good at locking information up tight [unless they want to leak it, of course]. It is important not to confuse the elected rabble with the quiet professionals who do all the work.

That isn't relevant to fiction, just a general reminder that governments aren't just the loudmouths who solicit votes and bribes every few years.
