I have a distinctively older brother who is squarely in GenX territory. He gave me his sega master system and genesis for Christmas when he was 16.Riedquat wrote: ↑Fri Nov 20, 2020 12:35 pmCertainly no internet when I was a child but plenty of computer games (see my username and avatar), although I'm at the late end of X. I get the impression I'm of a similar age to Chuck and looking around at the reviews I doubt he stopped playing games either.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:41 pm What I'm getting at though, is that GenX wasn't really born with the internet, subscribed to earlier in-crowd out-crowd dynamics, and put away their childish things when they left high school or more or less became James Rolfe or MovieBob. A lot of millennials didn't stop playing video games, and they also didn't follow the predesigned rubric of middle-age convention, which is why stuff like Hooters started closing down.

I think that is general concensus on where the cutoff for Millenials is judged. I think the cutoff is 1996.Draco Dracul wrote: ↑Thu Nov 19, 2020 6:18 pmI actually think there is a fairly easy way to distinguish between Millenials and Gen Z, if you can't remember 9/11 you're Gen Z.
I was a senior in high school at the time. When it happened, I was in the middle of running laps on the tack field for gym. I didn't find out until English class.
I got nothing to say here.
