yes but I only see that happening in situations of immediate threat to one's self or others, this may be a moot point now that he's better but Trump's death is not an absolute necessity.

the thing is that most slave owners didn't know it was wrong because it was the only thing they knew. but you guys know wishing death on someone is wrong, even a monster deserves his sanctity of life respected at bare minimum.

I'd disagree there. The real complexity comes from those who treated their slaves all right. It's still very wrong, but it moves it up to paternalism rather than outright evil.

There could be another system to incrementally reform in, if they had felt like it. They did not.
