but again, if you want to seriously say it is a good thing for Donald Trump do die because "he's done horrible things", you MUST also say that George Floyd deserved to die because he did horrible things too.
I don't want to assume anyone is a psychopath but I honestly don't know how else someone could wish death on another, again, I actually have a physical reaction to thoughts of that nature that kill said thought immediately.

You assume that the misdeeds of 45 and those of George Floyd are equivalent. Not all sins have the same weight.

yes but people wish death on others for minor things as well as major things, it's the same on principal, I'm sure drug dealing ruined lives just like the stuff Trump did, yet neither of them deserve to bFuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 26, 2020 8:46 pm You assume that the misdeeds of 45 and those of George Floyd are equivalent. and to be clear, I have no problem with anyone holding Trump in contempt but wishing him death requires hate, and hate is always wrong, no exceptions.

Wishing someone dead is wrong. Hate is not. Hate is an emotion.

And I actually agree with the earlier post that the assumption Mr. Floyd and Mr. 45's sins are equivalent is not rational. But stretching that metaphor out, you'd begin getting insanity like how anyone who remotely takes part in any system of hierarchy has sinned for contributing to it or failing to change it, as cogs in the machine who somehow think they are superior to the machine.
And as my past remarks illustrate, I abhor collective guilt/guilt by association fallacy.

and despite my disgust in the sentiments most on this thread are expressing, I don't know enough about any of you to say you are sociopaths for certain and would apologize to the point of harassment if I did and I still respect your sanctity of life, I would hope that will make some of you rethink your moral stances, like you have told me to do.

and there is a certain context were this kind of thinking would be acceptable, if only just barely, that being if that person's death was absolutely necessary. but we still have prison as an option for Trump and unlike comic book universes, that actually works.
