I sort of get this mindset intellectually but I was raised to believe by my parents and media that it is a slippery lope, witch can be fallacious thinking but not inherently.

again, when I've said that before, it was something of an exaggeration that I said without thinking, I was like this just a few years ago and don't want to fall down that slippery slope again.
