I really have to wonder what the future of TM is going to be. Grogu's gone, the Jake cameo is a thing of the past, and I'd wager most people still don't know the star's name, Din Djarin, and now the menacers and right are latching to this in their political zeal. Let me note, in no way am I saying TM is doomed. Just that recently, as it's become more about TCW style fanservice, and with Ahsoka on her way to her own spin-off series, I wonder how the numbers will figure when it's all said and done. They'll probably dip a bit, but in no way is TM on the danger of cancellation.

There are several strange things going on in regard to this news.
She is a relatively minor celebrity who happens to be on a prominent presence on a popular TV show that is part of a franchise known for fans that don't shut the fuck up with their complaining and whose bitching often co opted by lunatic right-wingers.

1) Her appearance was criticized as being "woke" by lunatics on youtube; the same lunatics are now bemoaning her firing because she was saying things that agree with their persecution complexes.

2) Her bullshit did not stop Disney from casting her initially, and it was only after escalation that they acted, so the idea that she is being persecuted is laughable, you can be shitty, just can't be shitty in a way that harms the brand. The Mouse takes a bullet for no one. The comparison to Chris Pratt is apt, as his behavior and beliefs are at best tolerant of bigots, but he projects his likable demeanor and positive presence as a coworker, not his politics.

These are the two big categories that this fallout falls into, the community of shitty people that monetize outrage and the professional culture that is surprisingly tolerant of the actress' behavior so long as it doesn't cost them money.

She's been nothing but respectful to actual fans, that's not hate, that's just a different political view, and it's actually having larger-scale consequences, as we're seeing RN. Look at how badly the polls were off. If you can't trust them on the election results, why should we trust anything they say about society? This is what breeds millions of silent voters. Again, in Hollywood, if you're even slightly right, you can be blackballed and ostracized. It's the right of businesses to not associate with somebody, but it's also the reason corporate and government expansion is out of control.

What we've seen for months and what started this whole mess are these SJWs who demanded she put pronouns in her bio to bend the knee to the LGBT community and she refused to do that. Again, that's not hate, it's her right to do so, and yet an actual tough woman with a history of boxing, well, these fake feminists couldn't handle that.
