Again, if anyone wants to provide evidence for Ms. Carano being "transphobic" past a joke to brush off the haters, go ahead, you won't find it. Meanwhile, Arizona state representative, Mr. Fillmore (a republican, not a surprise), literally compared trans people to farm animals. That is transphobia, plain and simple, and yeah, it is indefensible. I'd hope he gets voted out, but you know how entrenched those fat cats are in their system of power. Mr. Trump is gone, but that's easy when it's the white house.

No way I'd defend that. He's basically calling one of my friends a farm animal. So to H with him.

I wonder if there was an attempt to save this by Favraeu and crew. I would think they would go to bat for her considering how the Mandelorian is right now selling Disney+ and her character is popular. I would think even Iger would have wanted to keep her. She could have come out and said her comparison was tasteless and apologized, and could've possibly saved it. There would be a tempest in a teapot, but it would blow over by the time Season 3 hit Disney+. However, given the nature of her statements when she was picked up by The Daily Wire, she might have refused that.
Anyway, it's interesting she thinks the Nazis othering the Jews among the populous is some groundbreaking revelation. I don't know what history and civics curriculum she had (though they should've taught her the First Amendment doesn't protect you from private companies), but my American and World History classes in high school went over it as well as the reasoning behind it. Though, she might not like to know which side emulates that tactic more in this day and age.

I agree with Mr. Wilkins. I think this came from Disney and someone high up.

No doubt Kennedy had the knives out for her. She was just looking for a reason. Unfortunately for Carano, she handed her one.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:12 am I agree with Mr. Wilkins. I think this came from Disney and someone high up.

I mean given the antisemitism accusations, if it came from a higher up it was probably from someone at Disney corporate as they avoid antisemitism like the plague due to the long running claim that Walt Disney was an antisemite.Thebestoftherest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:37 amDoubt it.Al-1701 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 15, 2021 12:25 amNo doubt Kennedy had the knives out for her. They gave her several chances but she just couldn't help herself.Al-1701 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 14, 2021 11:09 pm I wonder if there was an attempt to save this by Favraeu and crew. Frankly, I don't think she was all that integral to the show. She was just a side character that popped up every now and then to be a badass, and that's all there was to her. Ted Cruz went onto make it seem like she was the only badass woman in the franchise, but seems to forget the other badass women in the show like Katee Sackhoff (who's a MUCH better actress than Carano). Apparently Leia wasn't a badass woman, news to me. Even though I didn't care much for Padme, her arc in THE PHANTOM MENACE is actually pretty solid in that she's a queen that decides to rescue her people without the help of the Republic. The Jedi were helpful for sure, but she did a ton of the legwork storming in her own palace to reclaim her throne.
Meanwhile, Carano is a pretty good sharpshooter and can fight well. I'm sure there's plenty others.
