Look at something like Batwoman's ratings. Those are horrible. And I don't buy the spin they have, they're blaming the NFL. Those two don't have crossover at all. I just wonder how long before it is cancelled.
TM will still have better ratings, so as I'd said, it's not doomed. But the whole point was there will be some dip. Assuming most fans actually follow through with their cancellation. Because past the pirates, there were people who said they were never gonna go see TROS after TLJ, yet they did. Heat of the moment declarations or trying to justify something to themselves.

Batwoman is a bad show that ruins a character, whose better written in the actual comics. What annoys me about the show's failure is that it provided a platform for people who never read a Batwoman comic to declare how the character was "failed woke propaganda" even though the character's been around since 2005 and was particularly popular at that time.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:26 pm Look at something like Batwoman's ratings. Wasn't she around since the golden age because a bunch of white guys didnt like how someone could see the playboy and the 12 olds could be sleeping together. Okay got off topic, I get there point, originally she was made to be a girlfriend for batman.BBally81 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:20 amBatwoman is a bad show that ruins a character, whose better written in the actual comics. Re: Gina Carano fired
Not really sure why they went with what they did in Batwoman unless I'm missing something.
Arrow's format I think takes the most standard action show format while giving it a practical spin with the parallel plots and competent episode-to-episode seasoning. I think I know where they got the idea to do a retired/rookie Die Hard movie. But really, my impression of Batwoman from the animated movies (and from the show) is that she works in the Gotham's crime and crazy shadows in tone similar to Batman, but also with a bit of government (with an admittedly refreshing lighter gray tones that we get with Waller, which could gel well with Supergirl's Norad setup). But this show instead of doing a polished one-up version of Arrow (on the cuffs of Oliver Queen's conclusion), they seem to have went with a Batman Forever tone, with Kane's plot being a revamped Chris O'donnel Robin plot, which was already the template for matured Tim Drake in the Arkham games.
I think the new season is better, but still wish they'd make it a little more heavily grounded for the crime element in Arrow.

That was Kathy Kane (full name Katherine Webb-Kane), a seperate Batwoman. Originally Kate Kane (the modern Batwoman full name Katherine Rebecca Kane) was meant to be a rebooted version of the character until it was retoconned during Grant Morrison's run on Batman where it's revealed Kathy Kane did exist and was a separate character who retired from superheroics after faking her death to work for the spy agency Spyral and that Kathy Kane was the second person to carry the Batwoman monikerThebestoftherest wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 1:15 amWasn't she around since the golden age because a bunch of white guys didnt like how someone could see the playboy and the 12 olds could be sleeping together. I definitely agree with that assessment. There is far too many people out there that see something like Batwoman and immediately think 'woke show'. Without even knowing what it's about or even seeing it. Granted the show is garbage and trying to do it with a new character was always going to be recipe for disaster.BBally81 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 22, 2021 12:20 amBatwoman is a bad show that ruins a character, whose better written in the actual comics. One thing I've hated about LF and the proponents to their agenda, if not DSWC entirely, is how they want to pander to fans. They want to make "fans" happy even as they insult them. Like the trash news articles online. Not really the official outlets, mind you, but every time we got criticism about fans, they have to put in all these blue checkmarks, "racist, misogynistic, homophobic" fans. Like, how do you know? Someone can criticize something and be as racist as you think, yet what makes them misogynistic past internal strawmans? This is what causes the Trump phenomenon. And until they realize that, it will never get better.
