Sick and perverted? Nah. It'll broaden the kids' horizons, and some of them might even get a laugh about it.

If it were strip story hour, then I'd be the first one to say "stop this shit now". But calling drag queen story hour sick and perverted? That's just homophobic.
You can be a heterosexual drag queen: therefore not automatically homophobic. Drag queens do not even have their roots in homosexuality, its a development of pantomine and vaudville that eventually became what we know of today.
It's still a nasty thing to say. Not to mention bigoted and stupid.

Looking at what the drag queens look like, I still go with my "sick and perverted" statement. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=drag+queen+st ... &ia=images
This is not some guy dressed as a female librarian. This is a fairly sexualized appearance. I wouldn't want a woman dolled up like this reading to the kids, either, for that matter.

And what is with the first photo? Did that person get touched by D. Compose?

It seems to me that "bigot" is simply a word that is used to bully people into accepting whatever the cultural elites deem we ought to accept.

I remember him saying it. I don't quite feel it though. Google imaging it, yeah I guess tomboy goes in that direction. Just that it's less peculiar when there are feminine pants and dare I say t-shirts. Closest I've seen to a tomgirl(?) is the male romper, which I think might be more of a prototype or something.

So a guy who thinks most blacks live in poor communities with ghetto lifestyle, that's not a bigot? Because I know people personally like that, and no, they're not white.

Somehow I"m not surprised.

There is nothing PG13 about this drag queen's appearance, just lots of makeup and eyeliner and sparkly things. If you find that unwholesome, that's on you, bucko.

I was kind of reminded of that chick that ate a dog turd on Pink Flamingos. Or maybe just a clown. It's the eye makeup mostly.

I'm not arguing that the word "bigot" does not have a legitimate meaning, just that it is so overused that it loses its punch.

Are there even tomboys anymore? Modern femininity has become pretty stereotypically masculine in general.
