It doesn't seem to mention that he gutted regulations of student loans, but that he gutted grants and shifted to loans. And perhaps blames Reagan for a broad anti-tax mood around the nation.

But private non-profit four-year universities seem to have outstripped the state-funded ones in tuition inflation in the last ten years. Not that the per-pupil state spending decreases could not have been contributing to the public four-year university tuition increases.

Is that ever a question that needs to be asked about Florida?

Well I prefer to believe there are reasons people do things. Even if they may be daft reasons.
