Meaning it's an impression without consideration to much overly speculated thought, hopefully without being too arrogant otherwise.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 10:36 amWhat does feel got to do with it?BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:19 amI'm just being polite.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:16 amYou started with i feel...BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Thu Jun 06, 2019 9:14 am I feel that anybody that brings up straight pride parade, as an ironic response to gay pride parade, isn't smart.

This has to be some of most stupid things I have seen on internet so far and I have seen lot of stupid things. This is something that Onion should come up with as joke news rather than being real thing.

Re: The Straight Pride Parade
I don't see how it matters that straight people aren't attacked as much as LGBTQ*. If you're unabashedly straight, have fun in a parade. What's wrong with an extra parade?
Mostly, it's funny seeing the regressives get their panties in a twist over some people having a parade that in no way threatens them. The organizers don't say that LGBTQ* can't attend, unless they are in Antifa. Last I heard, only Antifa can't attend, and who wants terrorists in your parade?
Note that they don't say that the parade is going to hurt anybody. Mostly they make up motives and attack those motives.
I haven't figured out why this threatens regressives so much. Maybe they see gay pride parades as a symbol of honor that is being appropriated by straights, with that whole victimhood as virtue fixation. Maybe they honestly believe it is somehow anti-LGBTQ*; logic really never has been a strong point for these people. Maybe they see it as making fun of a symbol of victory over hate, and I can see why that would bother some, but, if that's it, they don't seem to want to say so.

Re: The Straight Pride Parade
@Darth Wedgius As I said, I distinguish the two. LGBT needed a "pride" parade as defiance against a mostly heteronormative structure. And to spread their beliefs, non-violently, since so many ignorant assholes in the past literally thought they'd infect "our way of life." I also feel weird celebrating something that's a fucking genetic accident, in the words of George Carlin. Would you celebrate being 5'11? Or having a predisposition for colon cancer? Or having blue eyes?

Re: The Straight Pride Parade
It's not much different from stealing valor.
Stealing valor is considered a crime on the federal level if you receive tangible benefit from it. That last part is distinctive from any offensive aspect between the two acts, but the fact that it's a federal crime to receive a military discount at a pizza parlor when you didn't serve is significant imo.
And I don't think a straight pride parade should be a crime really (the analogy doesn't serve to suggest that), but to act like there's no perceivable reason why people would be up in arms about this is silly, and at the least telling of all the people that are acting out in such manner.
