I don't get "loving your adopted sister in a sexual way" and it's why I still get creeped the hell out of by the Flash/Iris Allen ship even seasons later. I love Iris, I love Flash, but the relationship just kills any romantic attitude for me and weirds me out. They have the same adoptive mom after all.
Well, they're not actually adoptive sisters. Yes, they both see Shadow Weaver as a surrogate mother and yes both were raised in the Horde together but, supplementary material notwithstanding, they're never referred to as adoptive sisters. I also didn't have an issue with Barry and Iris ending up together as they were friends before Barry was adopted and it's made clear that they've always harbored feelings for each other.

I get what you mean and understand why you wouldn't like it but for me it doesn't bug me as neither couple is blood related and both shows had the good sense to NEVER treat either couple as siblings.
2. I felt really invested in Catra rising through the ranks and showing her true capacity for villainy. I felt her competency and ambition were things you don't often see celebrated for characters.
I get what you mean but at the same time Catra's journey as a villain had come to it's natural conclusion in Season 4's finally. Catra's motives where always driven by her need for validation under the mistaken belief that validation is the same thing as love. And in terms of rising through the ranks, she rose as high as she could and was basically the co-leader of the Horde by the end of Season 4's first episode.

She was never going to be able to over throw Horde Prime given how much the show built him up as and her ruling a smaller part of world would have been a down grade after everything she gained, both as a villain and as a character IMO.

But most importantly, for me, Catra remaining a villain and climbing up the ranks of the Horde only to be defeated at the end would have been boring because we already saw that. If Catra join Prime, over threw him or became co-leader of the Galactic Horde only to have been defeated by Adora and fallen from grace I truly, Honestly, believe it would have been boring. The reason I think this is because it would basically just be a retread of Catra's existing arc only condensed to fit a single season.

And as for her still remaining a villain and taking over, say, the Crimson Waste, again, she would have been forced to be regulated to secondary character as Prime would have to take center stage given how big of a threat he was.

Catra becoming a hero, IMO, is the only way to have kept her character engaging as anything besides that would have been already done with her and as TDST has shown, just repeating what worked before hurts a series and makes what came before a lot less engaging.
But that's just my thoughts and I'm glad it's popular with others. I'm obviously a minority on the matter.
Hey, this is the opinionated guides, I would much rather have someone who respectfully disagreed with me then someone who either told me I was wrong and stupid for enjoying something or someone who just agreed with everything I said. I'm of the opinion that Justice League Unlimited episode is a solid Brace Wayne Episode but a $#!t Terry McGinnis that should be ignored as it diminishes Terry's character in order to prompt up Bruce's in order to enforce the mentality that there is only one True Batman.
