I never read this, but I watched the animated adaptation made in the aughts (checked it out from the library for free), the one that has Michael Rosenbaum (Flash from Justice League and Justice League Unlimited, live action Lex Luthor from Smallville) as the half-elf guy, Lucy Lawless, and Keifer Sutherland as voices. I remember it feeling like a somewhat modestly-budgeted animated effort with some interesting, if not stellar, characters, and found out the fans of the books apparently hate the adaptation usually.
