Liek I said she is just one character issue for that series. It's pretty much why it became the McKay series after awhile because obviously the writers loved to write for him. Sheppard would be a semi distant second.

I really wish they did something with Sheppard to explain why he was so naturally tuned to Ancient tech.

Yeah, McKay just got better as time passed. It seems more like after he nearly died when trying to Ascend, that he sincerely tried to do better with his friends. But you know, he's got a lot of baggage.
