Justice League: The Cat and the Canary

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Justice League has been kind of iffy about the whole thing because the Justice League straight up killed thousands of Nazis in WW2.

I will say when it came to Cadmus and the use of creating living weapons, Young Justice did it better than Justice League.

Well Superboy was a major character. JLU Cadmus was just a mook factory like Rita Repulsa's claymation guy.

The Wonder Woman movie made me laugh in the way it treated WW1 Germans as if the situation was a clear cut as WW2. The Allies: Good. Germans: evil.

That film wouldn't have dared put in a little actual thought into how all of the European empires were as bad as each other.

To be fair, the Wonder Woman movie surprised me by the fact that they used Hitler's RL mentor and the founder of German fascism as the villain. History would be MASSIVELY different if Erich Ludendorff had been killed in RL.

The second one surprised me by doing a villain based on Trump.

It's like they wanted to honor her history of fighting against Nazis, but then worried that it would be seen as ripping off Captain America: The First Avenger. So they said, "Well let's just use the other World War! They're kinda the same, right?"

I mean a WW1 ally soldier would think Germans are the bad guys, and that is how Diana is seeing things from their point of view.

What now? I feel there's a misunderstanding of german history there.

Dude is a RL supervillain. You can argue otherwise but I think its pretty hard to debate.
