I wouldn't say any of that is part of our genetic make-up at all. Look at the Bonobo. 99% similar to us or something similar to that?
They got around the male physical strength advantage to form a matriarchy is a rather clever way: every time a male tries something against a female, EVERY other female in the group attacks that male. He is a match for one or two females but he isn't a match for all of them.
I am not advocating that in real life, but I don't think its unrealistic to say it could not have worked in real life either.

The push-back proved if anything, it had gotten even worse, because close bigots came out, furious that he'd won. Given that several state governments are actively seeking to get Roe v Wade thrown out, I'd say there is strong evidence for it being needed if only to stop some people from turning back the clock.

The clock should be turmned back on some things, not all , but some.

It stands to reason, that early human societies were matriarchal as well. It apparently changed somewhere during the late stages of hunter-gatherer societies and the changes brought by the the neolithic revolution, as far as we can tell today.

Knowledge of the day: Humans are genetically closer related to both Bonobos and Chimpanzees, than either of those to each other.

The Hidatsa were matriarchal. The women owned the lodges and the agricultural plots. They did all the crop work and the men went out and hunted. Just something interesting I found out a while back when studying the different ND tribes.
