I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

Luke isn't much of a Mary Sue. He nearly gets killed in a bar, his rescue of Princess Leia almost ends in disaster, he fails Yoda's test, and he very nearly is taken prisoner by Vader and escapes only by trying to kill himself.

Anakin - The guy who took ten years to reach the level of Jedi knight despite being the chosen one, the guy who hacks to death at least two groups of children, strangles his wife to death, slaughters millions of innocent people, betrays his friends, prefers fascism.

Luke - The guy who takes half a decade to reach the level of Jedi Master and is still weaker than Vader and the Emperor, the guy who tries to murder his nephew in his sleep and shirks from the call to heroism multiple times.

You think that THESE two people are Mary Sue's? And not only that, but worse Mary Sue's than ''learns the Force to Master level in a week'' Rey?

Get the fuck outta here. Did you even watch these films?

Taking half a decade to become a Jedi Master isn't much of evidence of your position. What, you think people become Masters after a two-week correspondence course?

Jedi Knight. Not Master. Though at this point Luke could crown himself whatever he wants. Not like Mace Windu will come back from the dead and say 'you are not a Jedi Master, like your father before you'.
I got nothing to say here.

Rey went from literally not knowing what the Force was - it was a myth in TFA - to being able to lift a hundred rocks with her mind in 1 week with zero training. And remember, originally she was meant to be a nobody of nobody parentage. Her Palpatine blood is a retcon.

Anakin, the Chosen One, trained by Master Obi Wan Kenobi personally was still a Padawan Learner ten years later.

Luke, son of the Chosen One, could barely move a lightsaber after four years of zero training.

Her ease of reaching the equivalent of Knight or Master level compared to theirs is EVERYTHING.

Anakin was using the force like a pro and won the day when he was Ten. Being a Jedi Knight or Master is a rank, not a measure of force ability.

Yeah still was defeated by Dooku and lost half his arm in the process. Anakin was powerful and yes had a natural talent with the Force. But he was still defeated.

He wasn't using the Force as a pro when he was ten. He was barely tapping into it when he was a kid.
I got nothing to say here.
