Fairly low, and even lower due to such an incident having basically nothing to do with the kind of systemic oppression referenced in the post.

Wasn't the city petitioned to get it canceled? You don't think they wouldn't push for a law to make these things illegal?

Do we "need" a Straight Pride Parade? Nope. Is there any sane reason not to let those who feel they do need to, have it? Nope, neither. I find it pretty amusing, to be honest, how the leftist elements rail so hard against it. As long as they do not hurt anyone with their parade, then: Who the fuck cares? Is your precious little ego really so fragile, that you need to put it down at all costs, call people names and burn all your bridges even to people and positions who would normally ally with you? All it does is show, how unsympathetic you truely are. You are much more like crusaders on a war of faith, not people who want want to create an inclusive society. You define yourself over your antagonism to an enemy and happily jump at every opportunity to fight what does not need to be fought against and that is what I find really sad about the modern left, they are fighting windmills and are proud about it.

The analogy isn't really referring to assistance, but yeah it can be misleading or confusing considering disability ordinance is exclusively about assistance.

I'm not sure if people are really that resentful of gay pride, but regard it more as a nuisance, exacerbated by its political nature.

I would say the handicap parking analogy is more between the 3rd and 4th, but kinda misses the mark on the 4th by technicality so it's much closer to the 3rd.

I gotta agree with Madner Kami. I think it's stupid, but as long as it's not hurting anyone, let them have this. It's embarrassing, but so are many other things.
