Gina Carano fired

She jumped by hundreds of thousands of followers on Twitter following her dismissal. I'm not saying that LF didn't have the right to do that, just that it's going to cut into their profit margins. "Republicans buy sneakers." They do. Except they wanna cater to Chinese bigots, or rather the Chinese government's propaganda (because most Chinese aren't like that), but not American bigots?

I'm also not defending her. I think it was a flawed analogy, and even if you want to remain a free spirit, making comparisons to the Holocaust is always tricky on the best of days, and in today's climate, not a chance. I'm sure it probably got under her skin, though, to see all these other employees who don't have pronouns in their bios, yet the woke nuts are demanding she does and the company heads want her to, and that Mr. Pascal always makes comments about Nazi Germany (including some photos that a few claim come from Palestine, not America, who knows), but she is not allowed to.

If you can't see the double standard here, if you actually support it, then make no mistake, you're driving our country and the world down the tubes as much as the "alt right." The big companies should never try to cater to the woke Twitter users, or have a fear of offending the "young and liberal, diverse" crowd. Our interests are fickle, we're seeing that play out everywhere, they start off on great highs, and they always peter out over time.

Ms. Carano may have flaws, I can understand if you're upset by some of the stuff she's said, but she is FLAT OUT not transphobic or anti-Semitic, and if you can't even meet the other side halfway, then maybe another civil war is inevitable. More social unrest and violence on the streets, sigh... this is why I hate social media.

I guess, but why didn't she ignore that?

CC, you better have a long list of people murdered by mean things said to them on twitter if you're equating the eponymous Left's alleged cancel culture with the Alt Right.

Kyle Rittenhouse's popularity among conservatives shot up many times over after he shot two libs. Not that it's gonna do him any good.

Carano's sudden rise among conservatives isn't going to amount much beyond "yeah, stick it to the libs".

A big IP, to be sure, but there's still many ways they could improve it. Even for people who like the DSWC, no one should be able to dispute it's been very poorly managed, everyone can see it.

I was talking with my friends, and we agreed on something. There's a difference between being a free spirit and being openly antagonistic. Carano, too often, fell into the latter. While this makes her a darling of the "own the libs" crowd, I don't think it will help her in the long run. Republicans buy sneakers, but they're only going shell out so much out of outrage.

Really, the two sides should just move on. Carano will see if she can completely torpedo her career at The Daily Wire (their first movie was farce), and Mandelorian is going to have to create a new arc.
