Sleep murder nothing, I'll laugh my ass off if somebody rips 45's head off and spit down his neck. I'll drink champagne if I learn that he choked to death on his own lung fluids. And you know why?
Because I'm saving my empathy, compassion, and kindness for the reporters and staff he willfully exposed by ripping off his mask when he walked into the white house, and the secret service agents he infected because he wanted to make the stock market go up by driving around, and everyone he has condemned to a slow, horrible death because even when it infects him, personally, he does more for corona virus than he does for his constituents.

That was straightup my point. I'm not asking that you go out in a blaze of glory. I'm asking that people do SOMETHING to oppose the Fascist regime, and saying that if they don't do anything, don't be surprised if that Fascism rubs off on you.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:18 pm You don't have to go all Rambo on the evil ruling your country. You guys hope enough protests will affect huge change against police violence, when to me, it just seems like a strengthening of hyperpartisanship along party lines, and thus will hardly say anyone outside your political alignment to the cause, but it is the same mindset executing the same actions, I'd wager.

And I suspect the actual people like that, in all countries, in all past historical periods and dictatorships or democracies, are doing that, and in far larger numbers than you may think. But the dominance of historical revision, agenda-driven talking points, and presentism and cultural relativism mix that up and blend it into a blur so that we end up making all sorts of strawmans about the other side.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:27 pmThat was straightup my point. Kind of a sad irony here, since this to me is sort of perfectly emblematic to the issues in society at large. I generally think the vast majority of most people all agree on what matters, yet there's such an extensive disconnect due to our own cognitive biases, we wind up accomplishing nothing on the large scale, yet we can do plenty at the smallest levels.

I have, that' why I said it was a knee jerk reaction but again, there's a difference between finding amusement in a bad person's suffering and wishing them to die.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:25 pmIf it was a knee jerk reaction, then I suggest you step back and examine the situation with your brain instead of your knee.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 4:56 pmagain, this whole thing was a knee jerk reaction from me and this is generally fine even if I don't agree with it but I would still like to remind you that hoping someone murders Trump or that he dies of the virus makes you kind of a hypocrite when you protest police brutality, I'm sure George Floyd's murders and those who defend them thought Floyd deserved it for being a criminal.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:48 amI didn't even see footage of a cop getting hit with a brick. Where do you rank me on that, curiously? Frankly, there's such horrendously rotten fringe lunatics out there, I hardly cared if they were to die. Granted, I think there comes a level where you not only should pull yourself back, but are demanded to by the ideals of a civilized society, since civilization is what builds the future. A response, even a rather severe one, I'm indifferent on. One that puts you on the same level or worse? Not so much.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:57 pmI have, that' why I said it was a knee jerk reaction but again, there's a difference between finding amusement in a bad person's suffering and wishing them to die.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 8:25 pmIf it was a knee jerk reaction, then I suggest you step back and examine the situation with your brain instead of your knee.Dragon Ball Fan wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 4:56 pmagain, this whole thing was a knee jerk reaction from me and this is generally fine even if I don't agree with it but I would still like to remind you that hoping someone murders Trump or that he dies of the virus makes you kind of a hypocrite when you protest police brutality, I'm sure George Floyd's murders and those who defend them thought Floyd deserved it for being a criminal.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 2:48 amI didn't even see footage of a cop getting hit with a brick. You know the old saying. "The good die yet... but p****s live forever!"

The IRS is everyone's worst nightmare. I find surgery less stressful than a prospective audit, and that's not even me kidding. Had 'em twice so far in my lifetime. Never want them again.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Wed Oct 07, 2020 11:05 pmI never wished Trump death. I don't trust the IRS to deal with him. The phrase "Taxes are for the little people" is still true today.

Irony alert. That's what brought down Mr. Al Capone. And yet... he was actually conducting gangland shootings, wasn't he?Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Thu Oct 08, 2020 1:43 am I don't trust the IRS to deal with him. The phrase "Taxes are for the little people" is still true today.
So if you really suspect Mr. 45 is some kinda tyrant overstepping the traditional boundaries of executive law, well, then, you can always hope.
