I have thought about rewatching the first two seasons to see if my opinion has changed.

Doubtful about the look of the Klingons though.
My principal issue with the Klingons in that show is that they run the dialog too fast for me to be able to read it. I can somewhat follow what they're saying in the moment, but it's jarring.
That wasn't an issue for me. It was their appearance that was jarring for me. I know what they were doing. More extensive makeup instead of just plastering a forehead on an actor.
I got nothing to say here.

I thought it worked a lot better in the second season when they had hair.

It did. And that they introduced the D7.

All of which runs counter to what they showed in the first season.

Funny thing if you look at Picard Season 2 with evil Federation you will find the skull of Martok in Picard's collection. Doesn't seem to fit the Klingon skull of TNG and later.

But yet we are getting the classic Klingon Worf but with white hair. So I guess someone realized that there is no way in hell that you could redo Worf's makeup without a real damned big backlash.

It's like redoing Nimoy Spock in The Motion Picture to give him Nosferatu look. Or just making him completely green.
I got nothing to say here.

I think it's pretty good as a comedy, but what is your favorite line that outright made you laugh? I can't think of "it provides a system of checks and balances" without cracking up.

It's not from s3 but the whole part of the ep where Tendi is trying to get Doctor T'ana to have her check up and T'ana starts acting like she is going to the vet.

The entire intro to DS9 is peak Trek comedy.

Steve Shives probably hates it but I loved that episode especially with the DS9 theme.

Thanks for reminding me. I've just got over cracking up at the reminder!

edit: And now I've just gone and looked up the clip, cracked up again. I love Lower Decks!

You know, I think SFDebris might have been a little harsh on Mariner with the Rick and Morty comparisons. Mariner on her worst day is still leagues better than Rick on his best.

Mariner has not made a bestiality cannibalism incest theme park yet, no.
