Riker and Troi are in it.
Apparently Troi is the pilot of the new Enterprise.

Re: Picard SDCC Trailer
So, sure, looks a lot like Star Trek Wars Firefly. Guess they want to touch base with all the fans...but espicialy the younger cool Star Wars fans. It's not a bad idea...but we have to see how it goes.
They are bring back Data(hummm), Seven of Nine, Hugh, and likely Riker and Troi (Jhonthan Frakes will direct a couple epsiodes, so a spot on the show is as easy as him just walking in front of the camera).
So...it's a Borg plot. Guess the Borg are up to ''something", and Starfeet will do the old ''eh, it's not a problem" and ignore it.....so Old Picard will have to assemble his rag tag group of super young cool and hip folks and zoom off on some type of super cool ship (the USS Shane? USS Diversity? ) and save the galaxy.
With the sad 13 epsiodes....so like two to start the mystery...six or so ''random sic fi social justice stories", maybe a good star trek story for one epsiode...then the end game of a couple epsiodes of a classic Star Wars Battle!
Spoiler: The Girl
Lal? Data's daughter? Might work...like maybe Hugh re made her? Feels a bit of a reach. And she is a cool SHAPECHANGING alien.
Hummm...shapechanging? Oh....wait, maybe is is a Changeling? 100 were sent out into the universe, and we have only seen three... Maybe a Camaloid (ST V)?
Maybe Picards daughter (sigh), he has slept around a bit. OR maybe Vash's daughter....and they will do the whole....''oh mom never said who my dad was" yuck yuck yuck.
Spoiler: Data(hummm)
You know....Brent Spiner does not only mean Data.......there is B4. And....
...dum dum dum.....
LORE!
Hummmm....with Hugh coming back, Lore does seem possible. And remember Lore was shot and dissasembled (no dissasemble number five!) at the end of Descent. And we DO see a disasembled android in the trailer.....

Apparently Troi is the pilot of the new Enterprise.
Ever since Generations Troi as pilot is scary thought.

There was reporting on the behind of scenes drama, they are priobably still stitching it together.Madner Kami wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2019 4:14 pm Can't involve the Romulans post-Countdown/ST2009 without adressing their connection with the Borg. At least I assume that the vast majority, if not all the knife-ears we see are actually Romulans, based on their cranial ridges. I'm looking forward to this, even though the Trailer doesn't really show what it might be all about. Quite a feat, compared to all Trailers nowadays just spoiling basically the entire plot, instead of just teasing it.

Re: Picard SDCC Trailer
I really wasn't expecting it to be picking up so many loose plot threads beyond just the destruction of Romulus. The bBorg, the rebel Borg, Data, Seven's ongoing development.
Doesn't surprise me to hear Riker will appear too as it would have been a weirdly missed opportunity to have Frakes behind the camera and not appear, at least briefly in front of it.
My first little prediction concerns tge Picard Day banner. One or more of tge kids from the Enterprise D will be grown up and a part of this newly put together crew.

Re: Picard SDCC Trailer
On one hand, it’s kind of insulting if they ignore/forget DS9. On the other hand, I don’t have much hope for this show, so maybe it’s for the best if they do.

Re: Picard SDCC Trailer
The trailer was made well, but I would much prefer to see returning characters that were underdeveloped in the first place, not the ones that overshadowed everyone else. I also just have no interest in the Borg, largely thanks to Voyager. The seemingly lack of DS9 is also part of my lack of interest. Basically, it feels like they are relying on what is popular, and that doesn’t give me much hope for the writing.
