I like your ideas. I like 'em a lot in fact. Good effort and good concept. The only thing that I might not really like is the idea of the holographic colony. Reminds me too much of a DS9 episode. Can't recall the name of it but Chuck has reviewed it fairly recently. Maybe instead we meet Morbius and Alta, just as in the movie, but when the planet goes up in smoke Alta vanishes from the ship. All along, she was a full-time recreation of Morbius' mind via the Krell machine.
