My own thing was that I really didn't recognize Shimmerman's voice as Quark. I know we are talking about nearly 25 years between this episode and DS9, but at times it just didn't sound like him. Not a gripe. Just something I noticed where I started to think they used a different voice actor for Quark.
I thought so, too. At first I assumed it was a "character actor" working at Quarks for tourists to interact with. The face seemed comically large, so I assumed it was a "mask".

According to Shimmerman, he swears he wore the teeth during recording, but also thought it sounded to him like he had not. I suspect it's just a combination of age and time away from the character. He's an older man playing a much younger version of the character (that is, Quark is only ~five years older rather than Shimmerman's 25), so there's likely a disconnect.

Kira sounded older, too, and a bit quieter, but they both had moments where I felt they still nailed it.

Well Nana Visitor still sounded like herself even if older.

It's not like Shimmerman used a different voice for Quark. I just suspect being older aged his voice enough to not be as readily recognizable.
I got nothing to say here.

The difference for Quark might have just been Shimmermen not having those fake teeth in his mouth when recording it.

Shit I forgot about a new one. I just watched last week's on Tuesday. Been a busy couple of weeks for me. Lots of overtime at work.

If I had to guess you watched Peanut Hamper showing she's not as bad as I first thought. She's way way WAY worse.

An episode that takes you aback and has you going "wait, what the fuck?" every few minutes.
