I don't know. Slash is usually out of his wit, but this one time he's coming off crystal clear and clean as a whistle here.

Whichever you feel is more plausible! Both are probably equally valid.

You don't seem to understand due process at all, and I guess you don't find it all that fucked up that someone could be falsely accused and made out to be a monster for the rest of their life even after the court found them not guilty.

In this scenario, I think Yuka assumes a guilty rapist.

Well, sure, but he's talking specifically or particularly about situations where people sympathize with the perpetrator and lambast against the victim. It's a distinct circumstance is all.

Well you're forgetting about a little thing called due process.

Really though that doesn't invalidate what Yuka is saying. Both what you and AdX are saying and what Yuka is saying are two different things.

Oh I understand due process entirely. And I think it's a great cornerstone of a free society. I'm not even talking about accusations. Those can at least go to court in today's world. I'm talking about people looking back on sins of the past and just... completely missing the point. I've seen this attitude, and it's nasty. It's what rape culture and patriarchy means to me, even a film that's meant to give "both victims," ie rapist and rape victim a voice, is still part of that ingrained mindset, out of political correctness, guilt complex, and all those other factors. And, Slash? If you saw someone kill your grandmother in front of you, you'd know. Yet in today's bureaucracy, don't think the case could get thrown out if the defendant got a great, high-priced, slick-talking lawyer. What then?

Edit: BCM is right. Wasn't attacking due process.
