Re: India Decriminalizes Homosexuality

I know there's progress. Most of that can be applied to institutional power structures and social awareness, however. As Piccolo would say, "SOCIAL ACTIVITY!" I just find it somehow amusing people think that human beings 100 years ago were somehow alien to us. Using those exact terms, that same language. As I said, I think cultural relativism only goes so far, and in some ways, we're misrepresenting the people of the past. A lot of their motivations and dreams and hopes are the things we carry today. The same issues we're trying to resolve. But at the same time, even though we've pruned out a lot of wrong, we've also kept the core things that make us us, but I also feel, and this is just my opinion, also lost something too, perhaps, along the way, something that's maybe necessary, or something that should be discarded, but nevertheless your mourn for.
