Remember how the Mainstream Media said they won't be coming for Jefferson and Washington Next?

Seems they're coming for Mr. Lincoln now. "Land of Lincoln to Cancel Lincoln." Like, wow. Sure, yes, he perpetuated a lot of racism early into his tenure, but he was still a man who wanted to end slavery. And while he didn't believe the freed slaves should remain in the states, it's a view he quickly evolved on as late into the war, we had black Union soldiers. Did they make less pay? Yes. But back then, that's positively enlightened. And it's not enough, because we're filtering it through the lens of historical revision. He wasn't as pure saintly saintlike as he could have been, as SJWs want us to be now, and so we have to remove all trace of him. It's sad.

yeah, but if he was too come back he a slave owner zombie, and I wouldn't want him running for president again. So yes I do think we should impeach him if that happens.

Agreed alot of these cancel culture people don't seem to factor in the timeframes.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 11:56 pm Seems they're coming for Mr. Lincoln now. What concerns me is that a lot of them seem to have an orwelian attitude; if something doesn't fit just sweep it under the rug and forget about it. The dark side of revisionism is rewriting history just to make with your own perceptions and in a lot of cases what they want is a clear villain; someone they can point at and say 'he's the bad guy.' It's a very skewed vision of history that has little to do with what actually happened.sayla0079 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 03, 2021 9:09 pmAgreed alot of these cancel culture people don't seem to factor in the timeframes.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 11:56 pm Seems they're coming for Mr. Lincoln now. Also, if this is how someone sees leaders of the past, what about leaders of today? Are they going to vote against a perfectly capable leader simply because he doesn't their idealized vision of what a leader is? Who are they going to support?
