Sure would be nice if the nominating conventions for both parties weren't just rubber stamp shows this year and were an actual selection convention like they used to be. Could be a way of turning some of this shit around this year.

When? 60 Years ago there were basically no primaries and smoke-filled rooms decided who the nominee was. Now the system is simply so screwed up momentum results in one nominee emerging real fast. A president who sought the nomination hasn't ever failed to receive it (though nomination fights have torpedoed generals). The probable solution is probably reforming the system to have ranked ballots held everywhere all at once.

You got democrats and republicans locked into two sides, and both hate each other so much, they believe they're going to destroy the world, that all they can see is each other and no one else. Hypocrisy is the bread and butter of American politics now. Mr. 45 is just the loudest and most obvious hypocrite of them all, which is why I think his supporters adore him so much. That he drives most news outlets crazy is also a bonus. No, I don't believe the GOP has responsible climate policies, and the DNC does. But their methods are divorcing them from their cause when on our level, at the individual street blocks, they're terrifying the next generation. It's not just climate change. It's all these riots, and a new shooting practically every day.

I met a zoomer who told me she was thinking about how great it'd be if she had never been born after a practice drill on what to do during a shooting. It was heartbreaking. And this is not a matter of how the GOP is pure evil. The democrats are stoking the flames of outrage in their own way. It has to stop. Where do we draw the line?

Actually a more active concern is specifically an agenda for Climate Change activism overall. The actual data that's coming off more as a macguffin in your story gives a lot of cause for concern and alarm is reasonably priced on the menu as well.

Again, my point here is that this is a rational concern that's being exhibited. If you're talking about irresponsibility, then your concerns leave some more balance to be desired.

I'm not sure if you're using the shooting drills as a metaphor, because I'm fairly certain there's bipartisan support on those drills. As far as being a metaphor, I don't see how the Republicans' appalling climate policies is balanced by people that got misinformation from a completely unknown source in your personal account.
